European quality, terraced-style homes launched in Bullendale SHA development in Arthurs Point

Due to the successful sell-out of stage 1 and 2 earlier this year, Bullendale is now introducing stage 3 to the market.

Marketed as The Alpine Terraces, stage 3 consists of 34 European-style terraced homes, 14 of which have been introduced to the market this week (Monday 6 November).

Situated above Bullendale’s first two stages, The Alpine Terraces exude quality and are perfectly positioned to take-in the world-class views over the Shotover Valley, which provided so much inspiration for the design of these terraced-style homes.

Developer Shane Fairmaid said: “With high-grade PVC double glazed windows, central heating and a European-style design, the quality package offered by The Alpine Terraces is rarely seen in the Queenstown market.”

“We have focussed on providing well-insulated warm homes built for Queenstown’s cooler winters, while also ensuring they remain as affordable as possible. The Alpine Terraces will be modern, low maintenance homes with six different configurations from 2-4 bedrooms, tailored to suit a range of buyers from first home buyers or investors with lock-up and leave options.”

The Alpine Terraces will be marketed via deadline sale, closing on the 30 November 2017, and buyers with budgets over $549,000 are encouraged to enquire.

The Terraces are freehold strata titled and each comes with a two-car garage and designated visitor park, with the four-bedroom homes having an additional uncovered park.

Developed with the next generation buyer in mind, the state-of-the-art homes have a Swiss Alps architectural design, LED lighting throughout, Fisher & Paykel appliances and the option to install a personal home automation system.

The two-bedroom homes range from 63-72sqm, plus garaging and north-facing terraced gardens, while the three and four bedrooms range from 102-118sqm, all with north facing decks.

Each home is specifically designed to maximise living on the sunny north side, with generous floor areas providing plenty of space to entertain with ease. Some residences feature high arching ceilings over the kitchen areas, further opening the space and creating an even more luxurious feel.

In-keeping with the rest of Bullendale, the homes have been carefully-crafted by award-winning New Zealand architects The Foley Group, with refined architecture crucial to the overall look and feel of the development.

No offers will be accepted prior to the deadline sale date of 30 November to ensure a “fair sales process for all types of buyers”.

“We found in stage one that the deadline sale process was received well by the market especially first home buyers. This method enables people time to do their due diligence, secure funding and feel comfortable with the purchase prior to making their offer,” said Mr Fairmaid.

A large stone wall distinctively and grandly marks the entrance to the Terraces, perfectly setting the scene for this impressive development, in keeping with the main stone entrance of Bullendale.

Thoughtful consideration has gone into creating a landscaped street environment that complements the stunning Arthurs Point environs.

Sweeping panoramic mountain views, stunning rural valleys and the incredible energy of the Shotover River surround Bullendale and its neighbouring local community of Arthurs Point.

Located less than three minutes’ drive to the bottom of the Coronet Peak ski-field road and only 15 minutes from the centre of Queenstown, Arthurs Point is fast becoming one of the most popular places to live due to its sunny location and proximity to local amenities.

Once complete, Bullendale will comprise of 88 townhouses, terraced-style homes and apartments, and is targeted for completion in late 2019, adding significantly to the vibrant up-and- coming Arthurs Point community.

Considerable interest has already been shown in this stage and limited numbers are available.

Special Housing Area Development given green light for eighty-eight medium density homes

A Special Housing Area (SHA) development in Arthurs Point has been given the green light by Queenstown Lakes District Council today (Friday 23 December) to build 88 medium density homes and apartments aimed at first home buyers and families.

The development is the brain-child of long-time local miners and contractors, The March Family, in conjunction with Shane Fairmaid.

Bullendale, which takes its name from the old mining settlement in Skippers Canyon nearby, is located on Arthurs Point Road next to Shotover Lodge.

Stage one of Bullendale, which spans a four hectare site, comprises 14 semi-detached townhouses ranging from 105 -165 square metres with a mixture of two and three bedroom configurations.

The first stage was launched to the market this week with a deadline sale date of 14 February 2017. The full development includes 88 homes and apartments and also incorporates a central public greenway within Stage 1, all designed by Common Ground Urban Designers.

The greenway links to a new walkway and cycleway adjacent to Arthurs Point Road which will eventually link to the greater Arthurs Point community.

Developer Shane Fairmaid said “the homes are targeted as attainable for locals at a price we hope is attractive to first home buyers and young families.”

“In later stages there’s a mix of homes and apartments which may well appeal to both investors and families as holiday homes close to Queenstown and the ski fields, but we feel there will be strong desire from locals initially,” said Shane.

“We’re aware there is strong demand at the moment for homes of this nature and we’re confident people will appreciate the high-quality design look and feel that we’ve crafted within these homes,” he added.

“Work on site has commenced and we expect the first 14 Stage 1 homes to be completed by the end of 2017.”

Designed by Christchurch-based Foley Group Architecture, the homes span two storeys each with different offerings and configurations. Homes boast open plan kitchen, dining and living areas on the upper level opening onto north facing sunny patios and private gardens.

Bullendale is well located less than fifteen minutes from Queenstown and only a one minute drive from the Coronet Peak ski field road and ten minutes from Arrrowtown.

Stage One is being marketed by deadline sale. No homes will be sold prior and all offers will be presented to the developers on the afternoon of February 14 2017.
